How do we use your personal information?

We will use information that you provide to respond to inquiries submitted or to provide the products or services that you have requested from us. We will never share, rent or sell your information.

We may also process your personal information for our legitimate business interests – that is, to facilitate the management of our business. This information includes some or all of the following purposes:

  • To provide email communications that we think will be of interest to you
  • To better understand how people interact with our website

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and securely transmitted to us. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the Web page’s address.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Why have I been asked to participate in a survey from Beresford Research?

Beresford Research conducts surveys and interviews for custom market research purposes. We do not collect personally identifiable information in our surveys. A third-party company may invite you to participate in a Beresford Research survey. In this case, you will have consented to participate in research studies from one of our fielding partners.

If you wish to withdraw consent or enforce other rights relating to your data, you should approach the relevant third-party organization. The third-party is usually the company that initially invited you to the study by e-mail, telephone or social media.

At all times, we work to partner only with third-parties that maintain high standards for compliance and privacy. If you have a concern, please contact us directly using the information below.

What personal data do we collect in surveys and interviews and what do we do with it after collection?

Your cooperation in our studies is voluntary, and you may withdraw from participating at any time. We do not collect any personal data in our surveys. During a survey we may ask you to provide information such as:

  • Demographic data about you or the organization for which you work,
  • Responses to open-ended questions that help to provide context for your interview or survey responses.

Information you provide in response to or in connection with a survey will always be reported to our clients anonymously – i.e., without identifying you individually, directly or indirectly.

Beresford Research will always report the information you provide in response to or in connection with an in-person intercept interview, focus group, or in-depth interview (whether in-person or by telephone) to our clients anonymously. Transcripts, if shared, will always be anonymized – i.e., we will remove all information identifying you individually, directly or indirectly – unless you expressly authorize us to release your name.

How long do we retain your personal data related to market research surveys?

We will retain your personal data as long as it is required to complete the task it was collected for, or as long as there is some other legitimate reason to do so. After this, your personal data will be made anonymous or deleted.
