This visualization examines the COVID-19 pandemic within the United States, by all 50 states and the District of Columbia over time. We look at COVID-19 confirmed cases and deaths as a percentage of 100,000 people for the bubble charts. To enable additional comparisons, we added two charts with selectable X axes so the viewer can see how the states fall across population density, percentage of multi-family housing, political leaning, race and education.
